FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Can I use real pucks on the KnockoutNet?
The KnockoutNet is engineered to withstand real pucks without sustaining physical damage to its frame or panels. However, for optimal performance feedback and longevity of the product's electronics, we recommend adhering to the following guidelines:
- For players aged 15 and under, using real pucks will not affect the product's durability or the efficiency of its sensors.
- For players aged 16 and over, while the use of real pucks won't physically damage the KnockoutNet, the considerable impacts and vibrations from more powerful shots can potentially interfere with the sensors' accuracy. This may lead not only to less accurate data but also to a reduced lifespan for the electronic components, potentially necessitating more frequent maintenance and support.
Do the panels break on the KnockoutNet?
No, the panels on the KnockoutNet are designed to withstand the impact of real pucks without breaking. However, it's important to note that while the physical structure is extremely robust, consistently powerful shots from hard pucks can affect the accuracy of the sensors and potentially shorten the lifespan of the electronic components. How much does the KnockoutNet weigh?
The KnockoutNet weighs approximately 95 lbs (or about 43 kg). It's designed with convenience in mind and features two handles on the back that allow for easier lifting and carrying by an adult or a larger teenager.
Do you ship to Canada?
Yes, we ship to Canada! However, please be aware that shipments to Canada may sometimes be subject to additional fees due to taxes and customs duties. For more detailed information on how we handle these extra fees, please see our question, "Why is shipping the KnockoutNet so expensive?"
Do you ship to countries other than the U.S. and Canada?
Our primary shipping destinations are within the U.S. and Canada due to the high costs often associated with international shipping. However, we value our customers around the globe and are willing to explore options for shipping to other countries. If you are able to cooperate on the logistics and bear the potential extra costs, we would be very happy to assist you in facilitating international shipment. Please contact us to begin that conversation!
Why is shipping the KnockoutNet so expensive?
Shipping large items like the KnockoutNet involves more than just transportation costs. To ensure your product arrives safely, it requires a special shipping crate.
The US$400 shipping fee covers: 1) materials and labor for constructing this protective crate; 2) courier fees, which encompass pick-up, transport, and delivery; and for shipments to Canada, 3) associated customs duties, import taxes such as GST/HST/PST, and border customs brokerage fees.
We want to be transparent that we don't make a profit from this shipping fee. In fact, we often absorb additional costs to keep the shipping fee manageable for our customers.
While we are willing to cover costs that exceed the US$400 fee by up to US$200, in rare cases where the actual shipping costs surpass the fee by more than US$200, we may need to discuss options with the customer for covering the difference. We are always committed to working with you to find the best possible solution.
